    • D as the "edge states". Interference effects observable in transport measurements are determined by those edge states. The current carried by those edge states is the "Fermisurface edge-current", which is equal to the total current through the conductor. This "Fermi-surface edge-current" must be distinguished from the "chemical-potential edge-current", which is only a small factor of the total current [21].
