9. There has been one previous work by Kreger (Kreger, D. R. Biochim. Biophys. Acta 1951, 6, 406), who obtained badly resolved fiber patterns from potato starch using a microcamera and a lab-based X-ray source. This allowed him to make a few general predictions on the unit cell of the granule.
