    • We should emphasise that Fs is comprised of all free energies which thermalize after switching off the shear. In the case of entangled wormy micelle systems, for instance, this would also include the energy stored in building up the normal stresses, the relaxation of which does not involve work done in the direction of the flow. On the other hand, for the case of concentrated solutions of rigid rods, it would include the (non-elastic) orientationnal free energy of rods.
