    • Very small amounts of bulk FeO(OH) do not appear to affect the magnetic measurements presented here. Larger quantities of FeO(OH), however, can be detected in both the magnetic susceptibility and Mössbauer spectroscopy of contaminated three- and six-layered materials. The signs of bulk FeO(OH) include ZFC/FC divergence points and residual six-peak Mossbauer patterns at temperatures above 100 K.
