Chem. 1935, 57, 272, It has been pointed out that both the equivalent condenser Cs and the resistance ΔR introduced by the polarization at electrodes are inversely proportional to the square root of the frequency. According to this theory, tan ψ = ΔRCsω = 1, and there is a phase displacement of -45° at the electrodes. Therefore, if we plot R against 1√ω, we should get a straight line whose intercept on the resistance axis would be the true resistance.
