38. The adsorptions described here are most certainly irreversible.
39. A specific enthalpic interaction between PET and the substrate polymer is not necessary for adsorption. The adsorption could be driven by a decrease in interfacial free energy and/ or by entropy (release of water molecules from the interface). These factors are discussed in: Shoichet, M.
