Gastroenterol 1997, 112:143. Proton pump blockers have had a significant impact on the way adult GER is managed. This study determines the appropriate dose of Omeprazole for reflux esophagitis in children. Investigators included 51 children with at least grade-II reflux esophagitis. The fact that the per kilogram dose is higher than that in adults again shows that treatment trials are necessary in children.
