    • Moscato G, Godnic-Cvar J, Maestrelli P: Statement on self-monitoring of peak expiratory flow in the investigation of occupational asthma. J Allergy Clin Immunol 1995, 96:295-301. A position statement on the use of self-monitoring of PEF for diagnosing and monitoring occupational asthma. PEF is a reliable method for confirming the relationship between occupational exposure and asthma that is simple and safe but is time consuming and requires collaboration and honesty on the part of the subject. Recommendations for further studies to improve the reliability and applicability of the technique are given.
