41. 16. These reactions are highly exothermic and should be performed with efficient cooling and behind a safety shield. In no case violent decomposition of products 2 or 3 was observed. Nevertheless, the necessary safety precautions for treatment of alkyl azides / alkyl hydroperoxides should be followed.
