21. A preliminary attempt to observe the structure of the d ≤ 32 Å Fe films by X-ray diffraction failed, because in the rotating anode apparatus we used the lines from (1 1 0) BCC Fe, (1 1 1) FCC Fe and Ni, and (2 0 0) FCC Au were too close together to separate and identify them unambiguously.
