Data were analyzed by treatment and period using the general linear model procedure [11] and reported as least square means and the standard error or standard deviation of the means. The mean weight of the organs obtained from the two chicks sacrificed per replicate pen was used in the analysis as the observation for that replicate. Means of response variables having a significant F-test (P<.05) were further analyzed using Duncan's multiple range test [12].
