United Nations Centre for Human Settlements, Strategies for Low-income Shelter and Services Development -The Rental Housing Option (UNCHS, Nairobi, 1989) gives an excellent global overview of the magnitude of issues and policy problems. This was later followed up by Rental Housing - Proceedings of an Expert Group Meeting (UNCHS, Nairobi, 1990), and Support Measures to Promote Rental Housing for Low-income Groups (UNCHS, Nairobi, 1993).
