The authors suggest that a causal relationship between Epstein-Barr virus EBV and VKH syndrome may exist.

Am J Ophthalmol 1995, 120:613-621. Four patients with the limited form of Wegener's granulomatosis presented with cranial nerve palsies and meningocerebral inflammation. The authors advocate early biopsy to hasten the diagnosis and treatment of this potentially fatal disease.
