The analysis of the statistical error was performed by using the "Voigt curve fit" option, which permits the determination of the Lorentzian and Gaussian contributions of experimental peak shapes. In the present case the Gaussian width parameter was kept fixed at the experimentally determined value of the apparatus FWHM.
