14. X-ray diffractograms were obtained on a Rigaku D-max diffractometcr in the θ-2θ reflection mode using CuKα radiation and a graphite monochromator. All samples were cast on glass, hydrated. and dried in vacuum.

17. Transmission electron micrographs were obtained with Philips CM12 and CM20 microscopes using 120 keV accelerating voltage. Particles were dispersed in ethanol and cast on holey carbon-coated microscope grids.
