18. The choice of such fictitious mass is purely dictated by computational convenience: once convergence is achieved, it does not affect the final results in any way.
19. The angular momentum quantization axis is chosen along the direction of strongest confinement, i.e. the [001] growth direction.
20. e = 1,2,3: 43.3 meV, 57.3 meV, and 65.3 meV. The band gap is 1.519 eV.
21. To give an idea of the precision of this assessment, a variation of the valence band offset of ±15 meV shifts the HH-LH splitting of ±1.3 meV.
