Transfer of endogenous retroviral superantigen from donor to recipient B cells following priming to induce peripheral T cell tolerance
-

After injection of SAg-expressing B cells from Ig allotype congenic mice into SAg non-expressing recipients, SAg is efficiently presented by recipient B cells but not by donor B cells. This indicates transfer of SAg from donor to host. Moreover, the host B cells presenting the SAg are induced to differentiate into antibody-secreting cells.
