In the case of polarization interference, the phase of the oscillation seen in a FWM signal is expected to change by it for different detection energies. (see V.G. Lyssenko et al., Phys Rev. B 48, 5720 (1994).) In the present system, although the oscillation feature is not clear because the oscillation period (∼ 2 ps) is much longer than the decay time, the phase shift should cause slow rising for the A-line.

γX, could be expected under the treatment based on semiconductor Bloch equations (SBE). (see e.g. M. Wegenerer et al., Phys. Rev. A 42, 5675 (1990).) However, we extracted a value of Γ from the FWM signal for the M line, which should not be influenced by the SBE induced effects. Thus, the Γ obtained through the present treatment, should only reflect the biexciton dynamics.
