    • The F number used throughout this paper is the focal length of the lens to the incident beam diameter, rather, rather than the more common glass F number using here because an underfilled lens, as is frequency the case number is used here because an underfilled lens, as is frequently the case in real experiments, results in a larger focal spot for a diffraction limited beam than would be calculated based on the diameter of the lens.
