9. A number of recent publications have described the preparation of integrated oxorhenium and oxotechnetium metal complexes of the "3 + 1" design, i.e., between a tridentate chelate (amino-bisthiol or thioether-bisthiol) and a monodentate thiol ligand. Some of these complexes appear to be quite stable, and they have substantial binding affinity for neuroreceptors, although receptor-mediated biodistribution has not yet been achieved.
