Histological chronic allograft damage index accurately predicts chronic renal allograft rejection
-
Isoniemi H, Taskinen E, Häyry P: Histological chronic allograft damage index accurately predicts chronic renal allograft rejection. Transplantation 1994, 58:1195-1198. This study introduces the chronic allograft damage index (CADI). Using protocol core needle biopsies 2 years after transplantation and a follow-up of 6 years it was demonstrated that CADI at 2 years correlated significantly with transplant function at 6 years, and that CADI at 2 years reliably predicted patients who would proceed to clinical chronic rejection later.
