30. 2-Cyclohexene-1-carbonyl chloride (15) was prepared by heating 2-cyclohexene-1-carboxylic acid (1.9g, 15mmol) at reflux with oxalyl chloride (4.8 g, 38 mmol) in toluene for 24 hours. Removal of the solvent in vacuo gave crude acid chloride (2.17 g) (15) which was used in this preparation without further purification.
