48. The CCP has yet to recognize, let alone address, this problem. To do so would highlight uncomfortable parallels with the Nationalist Party in the 1920s-1930s which the CCP traditionally castigates as a regime full of corrupt, inhumane capitalists. They would rather line the streets of China with beggars, so goes the party propaganda, than reform their policies. Consequently, the people have a right to rise up in arms and revolutionize the country. The CCP would do well to heed its own propaganda.
