Age and gender distribution of these disorders are different in Asian people from their distribution in whites. The 82 patients studied included 61 men. Fifty-six patients were older than 60 years. Arthrographically, 17 patients had a complete rotator cuff tear. An acromial or acromioclavicular spur was found 26 times.
