    • To obtain more decisive evidence for the alkylation mechanism of DNA cleavage, we tried many attempts to isolate the alkylation products of DNA with the rearrangement product using guanine, guanosine or DNA oligomers containing guanine base. However, these attempts were unsuccessful.
