17. 7 The four-arm star poly(ethylene glycol) with nominal molecular weight 15 000, 4SI5k, having pentaerithritol core, was obtained from Shearwater Polymers, Inc, Tetrahydrofuran (THF, Aldrich) was dried over sodium wire and distilled prior to use. NaH (95%, Aldrich) was used without purification.
