    • Gruis NA, Sandkuijl LA, van der Velden PA, Bergman W, Frants RR: CDKN2 explains part of the clinical phenotype in Dutch familial atypical multiple-mole melanoma (FAMMM) syndrome families. Melanoma Res 1995, 5:169-177. This report found several individuals within the Dutch melanoma kindreds that had all the hallmarks of the familial atypical multiple-mole melanoma syndrome yet were not mutant haplotype carriers, thus indicating that genes other than CDKN2 are involved in predisposition to multiple atypical moles (dysplastic nevus syndrome).
