    • 1H NMR signals are observed for 2 (3,7, t, 8H, J = 6 Hz); 4 (2,85, m, 8H); 6 (3,41, t, 8H, J = 6 Hz); 8 (3,06, m, 8H). Bis-sulfides 3 and 5 are identical to samples of the previous study (Ref. 4). In all experiments, secondary products (oligomers ?) were observed, but are not yet characterized.
