The yield of product was determined from the relative intensities of the olefinic proton (∼ 4.5 ppm in the case of products from 1, ∼ 5 ppm in the case of products from 2) vs methoxy groups of the internal standard (∼ 3.85 ppm). Pure enamino compounds were obtained either by simple crystallization from pentane or by flash column chromatography.
