The anti-microfouling assay system was established by using the marine bacteria, Phodospirillum salexigens SCRC 113 possessing attaching properties in seawater. The growth inhibition with tested samples against the attaching bacteria was examined by measurement of absorbance of the culture medium and the microfouling formation.
