An extension of the case-controlled study of patients with silicone gel breast implants enrolled in the Harvard Nurses study that indicates a relatively high frequency of sicca complaints. However, these subjects lacked objective evidence for an autoimmune process, and the complaints were attributed to overreporting associated with the study design.
