    • The cleavage rate is calculated based on the ratio of the intensity distribution between the doublet and the triplet for C-3′ and C-4′, respectively [39/(39 + 24) × 100% = 62% or 25/(25 + 16) × 100% = 61%]. Hence, the direct incorporation rate is calculated from 24/(39 + 24) × 100% = 38% or 16/(25 + 16) × 100% = 39%. The error may result from the different concentrations and the difference of the coupling constants over two or three bonds and was ignored.
