-
Wild JM, Moss ID, Whitaker D, O'Neill EC: The statistical interpretation of blue-on-yellow visual field loss. Invest Ophthalmol Vis Sci 1995, 36:1398-1410. The authors found greater between-subjects variability for SWAP than for standard automated perimetry. This greater variability was augmented by increasing stimulus eccentricity and increasing age. A method of statistically analyzing SWAP results is presented.

-
Felius J, de Jong LA, van den Berg TJ, Greve EL: Functional characteristics of blue-on-yellow perimetric thresholds in glaucoma. Invest Ophthalmol Vis Sci 1995, 36:1665-1674. The authors demonstrate that in normal subjects and in most areas of glaucomatous visual field loss, short-wavelength sensitivity is mediated by blue-yellow opponent-color mechanisms. For extensive sensitivity losses, detection of short-wavelength stimuli may be mediated by the achromatic luminance channel.
