    • Boc-Asp(ODmp)-OBzl: 1 equivalent Boc-Asp-OBzl was dissolved in methylen chloride containing 3 equivalents of 2,4-dimethyl-3-pentanol and 0,5 equivalents dicyclohexylcarbodiimide was added. After 15 minutes 0,05 equivalents N,N-dimethylaminopyridine was added and the reaction mixture stirred for 3 hours. Additional 0,5 equivalents dicyclohexylcarbodiimide was added and the reaction mixture stirred for 16 hours. The precipitated dicyclohexylurea was removed by filtration, the solvent evaporated and the product dissolved in ethyl acetate, washed with 0,1 M HCl, 0,1 M sodium hydrogen carbonate and saturated sodium chloride solutions (3 times each). The solvent was evaporated and the resulting oil dissolved in ethanol.
