Both galactosylation and sialylation have been carried out on 0.5—1 kg scales using galactosyl-transferase and sialyltransferase coupled with regeneration of the corresponding nucleoside phosphates. The fucosylation step is currently performed chemically in large-scale processes. Work is in progress to prepare recombinant.
