30): When we analyzed the amides obtained from 13, 15, and 20 and Mosher (R) or (S) acid chloride on the Chiralcel OD HPLC column the major and minor diastereoisomers from 2-(4-methoxy-phenyl)-butylamine (15) and (R)-MTPACl showed a reversed order of elution as compared to that observed with the other 5 diastereoisomers (cf. Table 5)! The use of a chiral column for the separation of diastereoisomers is, of course, not necessary; the Chiralcel OD HPLC-column was used for practical purpose.
