    • This compound was prepared by a method devised by Mr K.J. Doyle, Loughborough University of Technology, according to which the diazo precursor was synthesised by heating the sodium salt of benzenesulfinic acid with ethyl bromoacetate which was followed by diazo transfer using 4-acetamidobenzenesulfonyl azide or 1-ethyl-2-chloropyridinium tetrafluoroborate (15) and sodium azide.
