    • Note: It has been shown that GPC is not a useful tool for the determination of absolute molecular weights of rigid polymers. However, it is the only molecular weight characterization technique that gives information (and it is a valid tool in this respect for polyisocyanates) on the relative distribution of molecular weights within a polymer sample. Since K and α have not been determined for the polymers discussed in this paper (except poly(n-hexyl isocyanate)), we must rely on GPC for molecular weight information with the caveat that MWs and PDIs are higher than the true values.
