    • 9-O-(1′-anthryl) and 9-O-(6′-chrysyl) DHQD were also successfully synthesized. While the 9-O-(1′-anthryl) DHQD exhibited almost the same enantioselectivities as 3a, the 9-O-(6′-chrysyl) DHQD gave slightly higher ee's than 4a.     • All these 9-O-aromatic DHQD's were prepared following the procedure used for 4a described in ref 2, except that 5a, 9a and 10a were prepared at room temperature and without copper(I) iodide.
