14. Upon heating to 110 °C in 10% aqueous NaOH for 1 h 3 was perfectly stable; after 1 h at 22 °C in 6 N HCI ca. 50% decomposition was observed.
15. Purity and stability of these solutions were checked by HPLC; 10 mM stock solutions showed no significant decomposition after 1 year at 4 °C.
16. Upon chronic treatment in mice (100 mg/kg per day/po for 7 days) no visible signs of toxicity were seen. Weight gain and food intake were identical with control group. W. Higgins, unpublished results.
