    • The original design of this study involved random assignment of subjects to the implosive therapy group, a stress management group wherein subjects were taught behavioral skills to reduce anxiety but exposure to traumatic memories was limited, and the waiting list control. Only 5 subjects completed the stress management condition, and thus, these data are not included in the present manuscript.

    • An analysis of variance comparing those 6 subjects in the implosive therapy group who did and those 5 who did not receive medications on psychometric and therapist rating variables yielded no statistically meaningful differences. Inspection of the means for the subjects in the Wait-list Control group who were and who were not on medications provided no indication of a trend in either direciton. Statistical analyses were not conducted on these groups due to the small N in the medication-free group (n=3)
