    • In references 2 and 10–15 results of previous photemission studies of Ag single-crystal faces are presented. These are measurements mostly in the LiF-window region, where the d-bands are not fully accessible. One 21.2 eV spectrum from Ag(111) of reference 13 and that from Ag(110) of reference 14 show general agreement with our data.

    • The primed labels are used for structures obtained at photon energies of 16.85 eV, the double primed for 11.83 eV, and the label s for structures due to impurity lines of the gas-discharge lamp. The unlabeled features are not discussed in this report.
