    • Tian Y, Balla T, Baukal AJ, Catt KJ: Growth responses to angiotensin II in bovine adrenal glomerulosa cells. Am J Physiol Endocrinol Metab 1995, 268:E135-E144. These authors present an excellent recent addition to a series of publications concerning mechanisms promoting growth in bovine adrenal glomerulosa cells. This paper demonstrates that mitogenic responses to angiotensin II were not observed in the first 5 days of culture but became prominent with longer periods of culture. Because angiotensin II has not consistently exhibited a mitogenic effect in all tissues, it is possible that the negative response has reflected an inadequate duration of stimulation.
