    • 2/s, respectively. A viscous Lundquist number M of about 0.1 seems aftainable in a toroid of major radius about 10 cm, minor radius about 1 cm, at a current of about 1/3 amp. Higher currents will results in dramatically higher velocities, but will invalidate the assumption of low M which has made the problem analytically soluble. These higher velocities would be easier to achieve in a more highly conducting liquid such as mercury, and seeking them there first might be an experimentally justifiable quest, while awaiting an analytical solution for them.
