    • It is known that compounds embedded in polymers sometimes show more complicated emission kinetics, especially at low temperatures, than in liquid solution. This may be due to an inhomogenous distribution of sites in a solid matrix (see refs. 55, 56). A similar effect might account for the difference in fluorescence kinetics between solid TIN P and MA-TIN 1.
