25. In the gauche isomer, the two carbonyls on each molybdenum cis to the Mo-Mo bond are inequivalent. In the Newman projection in Scheme 1, it can be seen that one is between two CO groups on the other molybdenum and the other CO group is between a cyclopentadienyl and CO ligand.
