The first sputtered sample in each EBSV sputtering run usually gave an unusually large AR(AP) and AR(P), along with wider fluctuations of AΔR than usual. Because we fear that these larger ARs mean that the FeMn did not fully adopt the proper crystal structure for pinning, Figs. 2(a) and 3 do not contain any data from first sputtered EBSV samples. We note, however, that including those data would not significantly change any of the analysis or conclusions in this article.
