18. The use of the nomenclature magnesium(alkylamide) is standard to differentiate the organic substituent present on the amide. For an example of a magnesium(arylamide) see ref. 1(d).
19. Compounds with intermolecular coordination have been reported recently; however, little data related to vapor phase stability was provided.
20. To our knowledge, the only other reported example of a structurally characterized intramolecular coordination in a magnesium amide involved the aromatic amine quinoline.
