The fibrinolytic system is not impaired in older men with hypertension
-
DeSouza CA, Dengel DR, Rogers MA, Cox; K, Macko RF: The fibrinolytic system is not impaired in older men with hypertension. Hypertension 1996, 27:1053-1058. A study of the fibrinolytic system in hypertensive patients in which confounding factors such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and dyslipidemia were carefully controlled. The authors conclude that metabolic disorders that accompany hypertension, rather than elevated blood pressure, alter fibrinolysis.
