In the Appendix of this paper, the authors show a sectioning of a plane similar to the (→,α) plane of Fig. 1(b); the assignments of the different regions were based on observations of simulated profiles rather than differentiation of Eq. (3) above. Thus (for example) Huang et al. would assign a type II curve to a type III region if the initial decay period were very short. This accounts for the differences between the Huang et al. plane and Fig. 1(b) of the present report.
